Summer time is pretty much here, and Grand Scheme are about to drop their new summer range. It looks real nice, so we thought we’d catch up with Jimmy to see what he’s been up to in the lead for this collection. (click more for the interview)

How long does it take for you to design a range?
3 months + a life time.

Any employees?
No 9-5 employees but it wouldn’t be able to run without Fred my sales rep and Australian Distributor, my screen printer/scooter head buddy, Dion and our various other production partners. Luke from Sucker Punch who does our PR and Sue who keeps the books.

What’s inspired you for the summer range?
I wanted to make a premium range that me and friends and people like us would be hyped to wear over summer, to festivals, parties, the beach and at night. All the good stuff that reflects the awesome lifestyle we live in Australia.

How’s Melbourne been treating you since the move from Brisbane?
Its’ been great, I love Melbourne. It’s always good to shake things up every once and a while.

What’s your favourite drop at the moment?
I’m really looking forward to rocking the maui wowie beach shorts over Summer.

Any big plans for Grand Scheme in the near future?
